2008 Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting

Hey Weekenders.

As you may know, Bill Gates dropped by for a game of bridge a little after Warren Buffett left for his press conference. Mr. Gates stayed and played for a few hours.

A lot of the media left with Mr. Buffett and because I was set up behind the bridge sign-up table, I was able to get some really nice shots.

Here he is meeting with one of his biggest fans. Actually there is kind of a cool story involved with this meeting. The woman pictured was playing bridge with Mr. Gates for while and got up to give her daughter a chance to play. She had not realized that she was playing with Mr. Gates, so she was then able to go back out on the bridge floor and say hello to him. She received one of the few autographs that he gave that day.

Mr. Gates gave only one short interview, in which he expressed his happiness to be in Omaha and his admiration and friendship for Mr. Buffett. He called Berkshire a great company. When asked about the future of Microsoft he mentioned a continued focus in software and that it might be nice for a change to be the underdog (referring to search).
