Largest Ever Expected Crowds Bring Changes to Event
Omaha, NE – Thousands of new Berkshire Hathaway shareholders will be making their inaugural trip to Omaha this year, and Borsheims Fine Jewelry & Gifts is ready to make a great first impression. “We are expecting more than 40,000 shareholders to visit us this weekend,” said Borsheims Marketing Director Adrienne Fay. “It is important that we make this a great experience for the new shareholders and for the shareholders that have been joining us for years.”
In order to accommodate the expected crowds, Borsheims made the following changes:
- For the first time, the special shareholder pricing will be available on all purchases made online at borsheims.com between today and Saturday, May 8.
- Borsheims will also offer free shipping on all items online to those shoppers using the code SHOPBRK.
- 67 additional employees are being brought in to assist customers along with about 100 vendors, too.
- To welcome shareholders acquired through the Burlington Northern Santa Fe deal, Borsheims is offering a line of train-themed memorabilia, including a train bank, train USB port, and train bottle stopper.
As in the past, Borsheims shareholder pricing begins in store and online today and runs through Saturday, May 8. Shareholders can take advantage of the discounts on jewelry, watches and gifts at any time over the next two weeks.
Since becoming a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary 21 years ago, Borsheims has been proud to host shareholders during the annual meeting. This year, shareholders will be welcomed to Borsheims for an exclusive cocktail party on Friday, April 30, from 6 pm to 10 pm. They’ll also be treated to a shareholders only shopping day on Sunday, May 2, from 9 am to 4 pm.
