Thanks For Stopping By

May 7, 2008

Hello Weekenders,

This is Bill, the blogger, again. I just wanted to put up a post this morning to say thanks for joining us during the Berkshire Weekend. From time to time I will try to keep putting up information that I think you might like. I really enjoyed your comments on this blog and I hope that everyone had a really good time.

As I’ve said in previous posts, 31,000 visitors came for the weekend. When that many people are out to have a good time, you can go through a lot of Swedish meatballs.

Here are a few food stats for your amusement:
We used the following:

2,500 lbs of roast round of beef
16,000 cocktail buns
25,000 Swedish meatballs
17,000 chicken wings
10,000 miniature quiche
1,200 lbs of cheese
23,000 plastic plates
30,000 cocktail napkins

The first thing to run out on Friday were the meatballs and on Sunday was the quiche. We go through about 40 carving knives and get them sharpened before Friday and Sunday.

Please feel free to go look at more of our event photos and maybe download them as a souvenir from out Flickr Page.

Oh, and I thought it might be interesting to post of picture of myself. You might have seen me at some of the events with my camera and my notepad.
DSC01122 So if you see me at the next event, come by and say hi.

Hope to hear from you soon,
Bill, the blogger.

Bill I’m a relatively new shareholder. I would love to come to the weekend next year, but no where did I see a way to get a ticket(s). Can you help?

  2. Darline Haes says:

Please, My husband (Julius Haes) and I would like to attend next year’s meeting. We thought we would get a written invitation for 2008. We are still learning and are trainable.

    Thanks, Darline

  3. Bill says:

    Hey Darline and Paul,

Sorry that it took so long to get back to you. Here is what I know so far about the invitations for next year’s meeting. Berkshire Hathaway handles all those directly, invites are usually mailed (don’t quote me) in March along with the Annual Report.

    I hope this helps.
    Thanks,

    Bill

  4. Patty says:

There was a form included in the Annual Report that you had to fill out to request meeting credentials.

  5. Bill says:

    Thanks Patty!
