The national and international media visits Omaha every year for Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders’ Weekend, but we have some great local media, too!
They reported several stories on the record crowds that descended on Omaha for the 2010 BRK weekend.

Hello Weekenders,
Every year, I am able to get tons of amazing pictures from the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholder’s Meeting. So, this year, I wanted to put up a blog post that features a ton of photos from the Berkshire Weekend. These photos were taken from the Borsheims Cocktail reception on Friday night, the shareholder’s meeting at the Qwest Center on Saturday, the the Berkyville Picnic at NFM on Saturday and the Borsheims Shopping Day on Sunday.
I also just wanted to say a personal thank you to everyone who attended the shareholder’s weekend this year. You were all really nice and I know that I speak for Borsheims, Omaha and myself when I say that I had an amazing time. You are the best shareholders in the world! See you again next year.

Hello Weekenders,
Aside from the regular sea of cameras at Berkshire, you may see a very different kind of film crew. They are a documentary group from Germany led by Dr. Gisela Baur. Dr. Baur and her film crews will be attending all the Berkshire Hathaway events this
weekend. They have been in Omaha since last Saturday and they been visiting different locations throughout the city and interviewing many different people. They intend to produce a film that focuses on Warren Buffett and his interaction with the city of Omaha.
I was lucky enough to speak with Dr. Baur and she was very complimentary about Omaha and Omahans. She called us “very friendly people.” She also said that she “loved the atmosphere in Omaha.” So, watch out for her and her film crew. You just might have ended up in a German documentary.
Hope you had a great time,

Hello Berkshire Weekenders,
We were lucky enough to have Warren stop by Borsheims again this year for a little Sunday afternoon fun. Warren dropped in and watched a few table tennis matches. Ariel Hsing, top-ranked US table tennis player, took on competitors from about 1 p.m. till 3 p.m. She also brought Warren an extra large chocolate bar as a treat.
Warren then went upstairs to play a little bridge with one of his old friends and partners, Sharon
Osberg. He was never without his trademark smile and a can of cherry coke. Thank you Warren for stopping by and thank you to all the shareholders who make this weekend the exciting event that it is.
Check out hundreds more exclusive Warren Buffett and Bill Gates photos on our Flickr page. You can download and share all the photos on our page for free. Check it out today. Enjoy!
Hope you had a great time this year. I know I did,

Hello Weekenders,
Every year at Borsheims we welcome many of our jewelry designers and vendors to visit the store during the Berkshire Weekend. That way, as a shareholder, you have the chance to meet and chat with some of the best jewelry designers in the world. Each of these special vendors brings along thousands of exquisite pieces that will be on display exclusively during the Berkshire Shareholder’s Weekend.
I take a lot of photos of these stunning, special pieces and I will be sharing them this year in a series of posts highlighting different jewelry vendors that have come to the 2010 shareholder’s meeting. In this post, I wanted to share some photos of the Roberto Coin collection that has come to Borsheims for this year’s Berkshire Meeting. Roberto Coin always one of the most popular brands during the Berkshire Weekend and they have pulled out all the stops this year. They brought more than 4,500 special pieces into town just for the shareholder’s weekend. They have brought many couture pieces and many one-of-a-kind pieces.
I was lucky to talk with a few of the Roberto Coin vendors during their setup on Thursday and they shared a very
interesting fact with me. Since 1998 all Roberto Coin collections have carried a special mark, the ruby. All these collections include rubies in their pieces. Rubies have held a special place in the lore of many ancient cultures. For example, the Egyptians believed that wearing a ruby near the skin promoted a long, healthy and happy life. In carrying on with tradition, Roberto Coin includes a ruby in each piece as a secret gift to every woman who chooses from his collections.
To see a lot more Roberto Coin jewels, drop by Borsheims this weekend or visit our Roberto Coin photo set on Flickr.
Best Wishes,

Good Morning Weekenders,
I hope that you are enjoying your stay in Omaha. We sure hope that you will stop by Borsheims today for the final day of the shareholder’s weekend. We have many exciting activities going on this morning and this afternoon, including Warren’s favorite card game, bridge. This year we have made some changes to the bridge experience.
The bridge tables and sign up are now upstairs in the atrium of the Regency Court. To get up to the bridge tables head to the north side of the building near the bathrooms, then take the stairs near the waterfall up to atrium. Bridge play won’t begin until 1 p.m., but you can sign up your foursome anytime. Just head on up and say hi to Sarah, and she will add you to the list of bridge teams.
FYI, but this year we don’t expect any VIPs to attend the bridge play. We have not invited any professional players this year and we expect Warren to be playing a bit of table tennis downstairs instead.
Enjoy the bridge and the lovely day,
Bill, the blogger

May 2nd, 2010
Good Morning Berkshire Shareholders,
And what a beautiful morning it is. Sunny and not a cloud in the sky, we are expecting a high of 73 degrees today. I hope that you are enjoying your stay in Omaha, and that you will stop by Borsheims today for the final day of the shareholder’s weekend. We have many exciting activities going on this morning and this afternoon. Right now, a delicious brunch of is being served both in the courtyard and in the party tent. The party tent is also enjoying the musical stylings of Notes of the Round Table, a Jazz Combo from local
Westside High School. And, of course, we will be offering deep shareholder discounts on thousands of jewelry and watches in the Borsheims store all day.
The crowds are beginning to build inside the Regency Courtyard in anticipation of the afternoon’s activities and a visit from the Oracle of Omaha, Warren Buffett. This year we have a lot of exciting entertainment. It all begins at 1 p.m. In the courtyard of Regency Court, two-time U.S. chess Champion Patrick Wolff will be playing against several opponents at once, probably blindfolded. We plan to project the games on a large screen to make it easier for everyone to see.
We have also invited magician Norman Beck back this year to befuddle and astound the crowd. One big change this year is the addition of top-ranked junior table tennis player Ariel Hsing. She joined us in 2007 and we are happy to welcome her back again! And of course anxious to watch her challenge Mr. Buffett. Table tennis matches will be held in the courtyard, where bridge was held last year.
See at the brunch,
Bill, the blogger
