Friday, April 29th, 2011Liz Claman and the crew from Fox Business always seem to know where to find Warren Buffett, and they managed to catch up with him yesterday (Thursday) for a few comments before the Berkshire Hathaway shareholders’ weekend kicks off.
Among the highlights:
- sales at Nebraska Furniture Mart were up 11% on Tuesday and Wednesday this week (compared to the Tuesday and Wednesday before last year’s meeting)
- one of Warren Buffett’s lawyers will have to wrestle Mr. Buffett to the ground to keep him from answering questions
- the majority of Berkshire Hathaway businesses are doing much better.

Up Early, Watching TV to kick off Berkshire Weekend
Friday, April 29th, 2011All you Berkshire Hathaway shareholders are already up watching tv, right? What better way to prepare for a great weekend full of cocktail parties, shareholder shopping and the annual shareholders’ meeting than by watching some early morning television?
And of course, the tv is turned to CNBC. (Did you think I was talking about the Royal wedding?)
We love Squawk Box and anchor Becky Quick on CNBC, and we know that she gets unrivaled access to Warren Buffett throughout the Berkshire Hathaway shareholders’ weekend. 
This year, she’ll have an entirely new level of access!
Monday morning, Becky Quick will be broadcasting live from inside Borsheims starting at 5:00am. It’s behind the scenes access that has never before been done on Berkshire weekend.
We’re thrilled to host Becky and the entire Squawk Box behind-the-scenes crew. We hear she may even have a special guest or two.
