Friday, April 30th, 2010

Good Evening Weekenders,

The party is still rockin at Borsheims. The tent outside is hoppin’ to the funky beats of Soul Dawg. The crowds are huge and it looks like everyone is having a good time. If you couldn’t make it out tonight, I hope you will enjoy the short video I shot of the party. Just press play, close your eyes and imagine that you are at the Berkshire cocktail reception right now.

If you liked the video, check out the rest of work at the Borsheims YouTube channel.

See you at the Qwest Center tomorrow,

Berkshire Shareholder Weekend Entertainment Pt. 1

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

Hello Berkshire Weekenders,

If you come to the Berkshire Shareholder’s Weekend every year, then you already know how much fun it is. If this will be your first year, I hope you are ready for two and a half days of capitalist partying. On this blog, we like to make all sorts of announcements (discounts, events, parties) about the upcoming Berkshire Weekend (April 30th-May 2nd).

We are happy to announce what bands will be playing at Borsheims over Berkshire weekend. On Friday night, at the Borsheims Cocktail Reception from 6-10pm, Soul Dawg will be entertaining in the tent.

The following info was taken from Soul Dawg‘s Facebook Fan Page.
Soul Dawg is a funk/rock band from the Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska area. This 7-piece group is comprised of an extremely tight rhythm section and a screaming 3-piece horn section that features the premier saxophone soloist in the area. The band’s singing talents are exceptional too, with lush 3 & 4-part vocal harmonies to back one of the Midwest’s finest male lead singers.Soul Dawg Soul Dawg‘s musical repertoire includes Top 10/soul/funk/R&B music from the 60s & 70s, including the songs of Earth, Wind, & Fire, Ohio Players, the Commodores, Kool & the Gang, and Stevie Wonder, to name a few.
Soul Dawg has been playing in the Omaha/Lincoln area for over 11 years, with a growing following. Since 2000, the band has played events with crowds in excess of 5,000 people, such as Ribfest and the Nebraska State Fair in Lincoln and the summer concert series of Village Pointe, Shadow Lake, and South Pointe malls in Omaha and Lincoln. The band has received high acclaim from area club owners, having played shows to capacity crowds at many large venues in southeast Nebraska.
Can’t wait to see you at the party Friday night!

Best,
